AM6 gear transmission 1st series -12
From the year 2012 the Minarelli AM6 engines were equipped with a modified transmission. Yamaha
and MBK models partly already from 2007. Which motorcycle manufacturer has used the new type is
difficult to understand, but easy to identify from the gear pinion shaft / transmission output shaft: the
1st generation is a solid shaft with 6mm thread on the pinion side, the 2nd generation is a hollow shaft
with 8mm thread.
To check which type is installed in your vehicle, remove the sprocket
cover and take a look at the gear box shaft: small hole is 1st series, large hole is 2nd series.
